Advertising

Claude Status displays advertising via Google AdSense. Ads are the only commercial revenue on the site. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are presented with a Google-managed consent choice before any non-essential cookies are written.

Ads are served programmatically by Google. We do not pre-screen specific advertisers and we do not have a direct relationship with any company whose ad you may see. Affiliate links

At the time of this writing, Claude Status contains no affiliate links. If we add any in the future — for example, hosting providers used in technical write-ups — every affiliate link will be marked clearly inline and listed on this page. We will never insert affiliate links retroactively into existing content without an editor's note.

Sponsored content

We do not accept sponsored posts, paid placements, paid reviews, or any arrangement that lets a third party influence what appears on the dashboard or in our written content. The dashboard's status indicators and uptime numbers are derived purely from public data sources (see below) and are not editable by anyone, including the maintainer, on a per-incident basis.

Data sources

Every number, badge, and uptime bar on this site is derived from one of the following public sources:

• Atlassian Statuspage public API for status.claude.com — components, incidents, scheduled maintenances. This is the same feed Anthropic publishes for any consumer to read. Endpoint base: https://tymt9n04zgry.statuspage.io/api/v2/.
• check-host.net for global latency probes — we initiate HTTPS checks to https://claude.ai from up to 3 nodes per country and store the best valid result. See Methodology for the full node list and selection rules.
• flagcdn.com for country flag images.
• Community reports — anonymous, voluntary submissions through the in-app "Report an Issue" form. We do not buy, sell, or share these reports outside the dashboard. Submissions are auto-deleted after 3 days.

We do not scrape Anthropic's product pages, the Claude web app, or any logged-in surface. The probes against claude.ai are unauthenticated HTTPS requests identical to a normal browser hitting the marketing page; they consume no API quota and trigger no model invocations.

Editorial independence

Anthropic has no review rights, advance notice, or input over anything published on this site. Advertising revenue is not tied to specific editorial outcomes — Google AdSense pays per impression and click via an opaque auction; we cannot reward an advertiser by writing favorably about them, even if we wanted to. The list of monitored components is determined by what Anthropic publishes on its public Statuspage; if Anthropic adds or removes a component, the dashboard adjusts on the next refresh.

Some written content on this site (blog posts, methodology explanations, this disclosure page) is drafted with the help of AI tools, including Claude itself. Every published page is reviewed and edited by a human before going live. Numerical claims, uptime calculations, and incident attributions are sourced from the upstream APIs listed above and are not generated by an AI.
